The first is with none other than NARS and Christopher Kane…
It’s hard to imagine a dreamier morning than spending a few hours ensconced in the stunning flagship store of one of the world’s most coveted designers, playing dress up in his Pre Fall collection and having your makeup done by the Lead Stylist of a global makeup superbrand. Well, that’s precisely what I got up to a few weeks ago and the experience was nothing short of magical. There are some creative collaborations that simply have to happen and NARS x Christopher Kane is undoubtably one of them. Both brands have long championed an aesthetic characterised by vivid colours, bold beauty and unconventional creativity. Their work marries elegance and edge, pioneering ingredients and techniques with peerless gorgeousness. Having been London Fashion Week collaborators since 2012, NARS and Christopher decided to take their partnership a step further and concoct a limited edition collection of unexpected shades and formulas inspired by the nature of neon and the nude shades that complement them, aptly named NEONEUTRAL. I, for one, am seriously grateful that they did. Between the iridescent shimmering shades and eye popping brights, this is literally the stuff of my wildest makeup fantasies. Unsurprisingly, it proved the perfect partner to Kane’s exquisite Pre Fall 2015 collection… Yeah, this was just about the best kind of morning.
