Looking back through the images from Soma Bay is giving me serious sunshine cravings! I know that’s totally unfair and ridiculous given the amount of time I’ve spent poolside recently. We Brits do the same thing every year; there’s a hot spell in April and we all get very over excited, swan about drinking rosé in the sunshine and flashing as much flesh as feasibly/legally possible for a few days and are subsequently devastated when it rains for the next three months. It was a particular bitter pill for me to swallow this year as I left for Egypt during the heatwave and returned from 34 plus degrees to what appears to be winter. So evidently this REISS swimsuit won’t be getting another outing for a while which is a damn shame because it’s one of the most fabulous things ever. Full disclosure, I don’t think I’ve actually worn a swimsuit in at least a decade and wasn’t particularly tempted to until this baby came along. Fool that I am, I thought that I might feel frumpy and it would obstruct tanning. Admittedly the latter held true but let’s be real, you don’t wear this kind of poolside attire for serious tanning or swimming, you wear it for the glamour factor. And then evidently you pair it with stilettos, matching silky shorts and an over sized hat before swanning around feeling fancy.
I know I talk about this a hell of a lot but the power of clothes in terms of changing the way you feel about yourself, hold yourself and boosting confidence levels never ceases to amaze me. For instance, any time I wear trainers or an outfit like this I feel infinitely cooler than I actually am. In this swimsuit n’ hat combo however, I instantly felt sexier, more glamourous and elegant than I wold in many of my much loved bikinis. I suppose it also goes to show that it’s always worth taking a sartorial risk on a piece you don’t think will work for you!
Will you be switching to team swimsuit this summer?
Love Ella. X

Great swimsuit
This swimsuit looks so amazing on you!
I love swimsuits but they don’t really match my bodytype and this is why I never owned one 🙂

Thanks lovely, I have a total weakness for anything floral! xx
Your style is impeccable! You look amazing, thanks for sharing 🙂
I just bought a new pair of bikinis for this summer, but a few years ago I had a fabulous yellow one-piece! You look absolutely stunning, Ella and I’d give anything to be poolside with 34 degrees right now!
